In 2017, God revealed to our president, Dr. Richard Hamlet, the great need among Latinos in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi for a medium like this. His evangelistic heart led him to establish new stations to proclaim the gospel to Spanish speakers in the region.
Simultaneously, Irving Ravelo, the Director of Development at Global Ministries Foundation, upon realizing the absence of Christian radio stations reaching thousands of families in these states, identified the urgency of establishing new broadcasting outlets.
Shortly after, Ravelo assumed the role of developer and manager for Buenas Nuevas stations. Among them, 105.5 FM, with its coverage of over 50 miles, became the first FCC-licensed FM broadcaster in the United States to serve the metro area in Spanish. Through our music and messages, we share the good news of the gospel with residents in the southern region of the country and beyond.
